In their own words.
Not only what happened, but the details, turns of phrase and memories that make the story theirs.
Through one thoughtful interview, I capture the details and voice that make the memories personal, then shape them into a beautifully written private story.

Every story is interviewed with care, written in the person’s own voice and returned as a private digital keepsake.
Through a relaxed, guided conversation — usually two to three hours — I draw out the memories, details and moments that bring the story to life. There’s nothing to prepare and no need to consider yourself a natural storyteller.
I shape the conversation into a real, readable narrative — not a transcript or a template, but a story that retains the voice of the person who told it.
A beautifully designed digital story with a selection of photographs, plus the carefully edited recording — kept privately and shared only as you choose.

One significant story, captured properly.
A relaxed, guided conversation — usually two to three hours — shaped into a professionally written narrative, with a chance to review the story before it's finished and one revision included.
More extensive stories, involving additional interviews or a longer span of someone's life, are also available.
I'm Cath. I spent the first part of my career interviewing and writing about people for national magazines, working on the features desks of Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, LOOK and Top Santé, while also writing for Condé Nast Brides and the Saturday Express magazine.
Journalism taught me to listen properly: to notice the detail someone mentions in passing, ask the question that opens up a memory, and shape a conversation into something worth reading.
My work has included stories of family, identity, loss, reunion and extraordinary searches for loved ones. I now bring that experience to stories created privately for individuals and families.
I'm based in Central Scotland and work with people locally and across the UK.
